Kindergarten

Steven Paul started Kindergarten on August 22. I can not believe I can now say that we have a kindergarten. He was so excited to start school!! He is still the shiest kids you will ever meet so I was a little worried about how it would go. He does not like to be the center of attention and he likes to know what is going to happen next....ALL the time, so to just start something so new I was a little worried. He was in Pre-K all last year but he has been out all summer. We had meet the teacher on Friday before school started and he was a little nervous. We had talked to him and counted down the days until he would start school and the day finally came.....
Reading his new book "The Night Before Kindergarten"
He was so excited he did not want to put the book down and go to sleep.
The next morning came and I didn't even have to tell him to get up and get dressed. He was so excited that he was going to be able to take his lunch to school. He is sooooo picky when it comes to eating so I am sure I will be packing his lunch all year.
Steven came home for lunch as we were getting ready to head out.
Such a big boy! It still had not hit me yet that I was about to walk our baby to his first day of Kindergarten!
So handsome and so excited! We only live like a block from the school so it is soo nice that we are able to walk everyday! No need to fight for a parking spot!In front of Pat Butler School! Steven went to school here! I love that our kids are going here!
Finding his name and hanging up his backpack!Getting in line to go inside......he was starting to get a little nervous! His teacher Mr. Bruzzo.......I'm not going to lie, when I heard he was going to have a man for a teacher I was a little worried. But Steven Paul loves him and he is such a nice guy!!When I told him bye he got this look on his face like he was about to cry so I left fast. Outside there was a little spot in the window you could spy in on the kids and I stayed there for about 3 minutes watching and he never shed a tear! I was SHOCKED! I thought it was going to be a sob fest. On the way home I shed some tears, but I was happy I was able to hold off so he didn't see me.When we picked him up he talked about what a great day he had! I was sooo relieved. I am so happy that he loves school so much now (I'm sure it will change in a few years).
So glad he had a wonderful experience on the first day of the rest of his life!
