Spring Time!!

We are getting ready for spring. I love spring time, all the beautiful flowers and nice weather. I cleaned out all the flowers that the people here before us had planted and went to the store and got some bulbs, and flowers to plant. I am so excited for then to bloom. We got our yard sprayed so that the grass will be beautiful and green. Here are some pics of the flowers I planted and I will share some more when they actually bloom.
I was watering the grass and when I turn the corner to turn it off I see this.....

A CRAZY dog running threw the sprinkler playing in the water. We are going to have to get her swimming pool.

Random

Here are a few pics of the kids from the past week or so. Enjoy!
Helping me vaccus. He is usually scared of it but I got the small one out and he wanted to do it. Maybe I can train him early :) I just need to teach him to do the dishes now! Being silly as usual!!
Getting her in the kitchen early :)
This is one of my favorite pictures. We take so many pictures of them sleeping when they are babies, but I couldnt get over how precious he looks sleeping on his daddy!

Boo Boo

Aww our baby boy got his first major Boo Boo (you know you are a parent when you start saying boo boo) last night. Steven heard a ruckus in his room, when he went in there Steven Paul had a gash that was bleeding pretty bad. He got a towel to put on it till we could get to the ER. It had went all the way threw, thank goodness he didn't chip any teeth. The doctor glued it back together.I'm so glad they didn't do stiches cus he is TERRIFIED of needles. They said if they glued it he wouldn't have as big of a scar. He was such a big boy about it. He had stopped crying before we even got out of the driveway and cried a little bit when the doc was doing the glue. We tried to get him to show us what happen when we got home, but we got a different story everytime, so we are not real sure what happen. He told Steven he hit the air vent on the floor, he told me he hit the wall, then he told us he hit the TV stand, which is what we think what happen. It's really wierd though cus the only place that there is blood on the floor is on his rug which is right in the middle of his room and there is nothing around it, so this is a mystery that is still unsolved. Here are a few pics of him after we got home from the hospital.
He is such a big boy, still has a smile on his face.
Today it is swollen and has pus. It makes me so sad cus I know it was painful. I wish I could take the pain for him.

Haircut

Steven Paul finally got a haircut yesterday! I was really wanting to grow it out, but it was so hot for him and getting out of control. Of course we had to bribe him with a sucker and took him to the movie store to rent 2 movies. I couldnt get over how much hair was on the floor, it looked like an adult hair cut.
Before, he looks like he has an afro.
All the hair on the floor. Im sad I cut his curls off.
After, it is actually even, I figured it would look horrible.

We are SAFE!!

We did it, we bought a storm shelter and got it put in today. I am so excited that we will have a place to go when the nasty weather comes besides in the closet where we can't even breathe. It is inside our garage. We got a 12 seater just in case our family was here when a storm hits or if neighbors need some where to go. They started the process at 7:00 am and didn't get finished till around 4:00 pm. Steven Paul had a blast watching the trucks and backhoe. When the concrete dries we are going to stock it with water, blankets, weather radio, etc.
Just starting, they cut the concrete with a saw and then started digging out the dirt.
Watching the work in progress! If he wouldnt have had a friend over he probably would have stood at the window all day.
Lowering it into the ground.
Pouring concrete on the outside and on top.
THE FINISHED PRODUCT!! We are so happy that we decided to invest in a shelter.
Inside, the steps come off for more room to sit!

Papa Abernathy

It has been 6 months today that my great grandpa passed away and everyone misses him so much. He was the most amazing man and we were so lucky to have him in our family. He was so much fun, if you gained a pound he let you know it and if you really wanted to get him roused up just mention republicans. I have been thinking about him a lot lately and thought that I would share some photos with everyone.
This photo fits him perfectly, ha you could be talking then all of a sudden look over and he was out.
This was the very first time he met Steven Paul, his first great great grandson. He was so excited, of course he said that Steven Paul was handsom and got his looks from him, just like he says about all his grand children and great grandchildren.

Chatterbox

Not much has been going on around here. We had a few days of nice weather and then it turned right back to the 40's. It is supposed to be cold tomorrow and then nice the rest of the week but we will see, we are in Oklahoma the weather changes every minute!! Rheanne will be 1 in 16 days! It's so hard to believe, she is still into EVERYTHING and I am sure it will only get worse as she gets older. My in-laws are coming to visit on the 21st and staying about 10 days! We are sooo excited and counting down the days. It has been 5 months since we last saw them! Steven Paul is still cracking us up. He has the biggest imagination, he was in the bath the other day and had a scratch on each of his knee's, I asked him what happen and he told me that a red and a blue shark bit him when he was at Meme and Popas house and that Meme told the sharks no and it was not nice to bite. Then he said a pink shark bit him on his cheak but that was ok cus his grandma spanked its butt. We were leaving school today and he had a place on his face and I asked him what happen and he said a yellow shark bit him and I asked him if he told it no and he said, "No, Miss Ginny (his teacher at school) put it in time out!" Haha I have NO idea where he is coming up with all this shark stuff, but it is pretty funny. Then we were driving home from school today and he says, "I want the checkbook mom," and I said " You do, for what?" and he says, "So I can go and buy some more trains."Ha he is starting young!Hope everyone is doing good!!
I was trying to get Rheanne to smile and Steven Paul came and stood beside me making sounds and waving his arm to make her smile, and.................................

SHE DID!!! She loves her brother so much!!

After a long day of playing at school!
Playing outside on one of the beautiful days!! I can't wait till he can start playing outside everyday, he loves being outside!

Driving while reading a book called "Turtle on the Road."
